Skiing & Snowboarding

The headline around here will always be "Four Mountains, One Lift Ticket." For an extended ski vacation, that flexibility is incredible. Cruisers and a few steeps on the first day at Snowmass? Sure. Powder day the next? Head to Highland Bowl at Aspen Highlands, or the Tiehack section of Buttermilk. Just want to kick it in a terrain park for the rest of your time? Go right ahead. In fact, Snowmass is big enough to keep you interested for weeks.

At Aspen Snowmass, you call the shots depending on how you feel. It's amazing how many possibilities lie in 5,517 skiable acres of pow. Get the scoop with our Skiing Adventures guide.

Climbing Wall

Year-round, our five-story climbing wall will be our guests' go-to place for off-the-slopes activity. Beginners will feel confident trying the lower route under the supervision of our trained staff, while more experienced climbers can attempt the two higher routes which scale the full height of the wall.

Ullr Nights, Tubing & the Breathtaker

Every winter season, Aspen Snowmass hosts a weekly nighttime celebration at Elk Camp called Ullr Nights. Ride the gondola that's out our front door to an evening of live music, dinner on the mountain, night tubing, ski bikes, and rides on the new Breathtaker Alpine Coaster.

Tubing and the Breathtaker — as well as newdaily Snowbike tours — are also available daily during the ski season during the day.

Nordic & Cross-Country Skiing

Cross-country skiing is another popular way to enjoy the Roaring Fork Valley and the surrounding mountains in winter. Aspen, in particular, has a robust "uphilling" community: skiers are allowed to follow designated routes up all four mountains of the resort and ski down.

Once again, our concierge can help you arrange cross-country ski rentals and point the way to the best routes. Contact us to inquire.
