Limelight Hotel Community Funds

A fundamental mission of the Limelight brand is to deeply and meaningfully connect to the communities in which it operates. This "commitment to place" is reflected in how the employees and management team of Limelight approach philanthropy.

Supporting Communities

All Limelight hotels operate a Community Fund, governed by an employee-run board, to raise and donate money to nonprofits addressing local issues. Grants are focused on basic needs, including childcare and mental health support. These funds enable the hotels to support community initiatives and train employees to be philanthropists.

Our Funding

Funding for the Community Funds is generated through contributions from Aspen One employees, including those working at Limelight hotels. To increase the impact, the company matches these donations – giving a minimum of $20,000 per property per year. Additionally, $1 from every guest stay is contributed to the corresponding hotel's fund. The employee board distributes 100% of these funds to nonprofits.

Even after their tenure on the board concludes, many employees remain actively involved in the organizations and causes they encountered during their service.

Get Involved

Reach out to Marlaina Murphy if you’d like to get involved or for information on applying for a grant. The Caring for Community Fund benefits the Roaring Fork Valley and is supported by Limelight Aspen and Limelight Snowmass. Limelight Denver and Limelight Ketchum run their own funds that help their surrounding communities.
