FAQs

Groundbreaking for the Limelight Hotel Mammoth & Residences will occur in the summer of 2022, with a phased construction running through 2024. Have a question about this project? Consult our FAQs below or contact us.

Who will operate the hotel?

Aspen Hospitality, which is a subsidiary of Aspen One.

What are Aspen Hospitality’s plans for the project?

Our goal is to deliver to Mammoth a leading premium hotel that can enhance Mammoth Lake’s inventory of accommodations while simultaneously becoming a “hub” for the community through dining, après ski, mellow live music and events.

What are Aspen Hospitality’s sustainability objectives for the project?

We are developing the “greenest” hotel that we can. This means the hotel will be all-electric. As the energy grid becomes less carbon-intensive over time, our building will become cleaner, eventually achieving net zero emissions. Check out some other exciting sustainability work here.

Who is the capital partner for the project?

Aspen One and Aspen Hospitality. Aspen One owns and operates Aspen Hospitality, which is inclusive of The Little Nell (Aspen, CO) as well as three other Limelight Hotels in Aspen and Snowmass Village, CO, and Ketchum, ID. The company also oversees management of residences and mountain clubs at the Limelight Hotel Snowmass and Limelight Hotel Ketchum, plus ASPENX, an experiential retail brand.

Will the new property improve parking and traffic?

Yes. With 206 parking spaces (more parking than required), the Limelight Hotel Mammoth & Residences will allow guests and residents to “park once.” The project features the most central location in Mammoth, adjacent to the Village, gondola, and connected to public transportation, which will make this a mobility hub. The project is adding bike parking and expanding pedestrian activity.

What are the plans for amenities and community access to the hotel?

Like the other three existing Limelight Hotels, the new Limelight Hotel Mammoth will offer a great room called the Lounge which will include a restaurant, bar, and indoor/outdoor terrace. And, as with the other Limelight Hotels, our goal is to have the Lounge be as much of a hub for locals as guests. We look forward to welcoming the local community to what we hope will become a new ‘living room’ in town.

What amenities will be included?

The Limelight property will feature an outdoor pool, hot tubs, a fitness area, a vibrant restaurant and bar with amazing views, a pedestrian-friendly orientation, a retail/rental operation, and the Mammoth Mountain Club. The design is modern and exciting, ushering in a new phase for Mammoth.

What is the Mammoth Mountain Club?

The Limelight Hotel Mammoth & Residences will have a dedicated club — offering access to luxurious locker rooms, a lounge, and programming to those who chose to join. Limelight Hotel Mammoth & Residences' residence owners can enjoy club privileges.

Will there be any single-family homes as part of the new property?

The property will include 15 luxury condominium residences. Details and additional sales information will be available soon. Enquiries are welcome.

Where are you going to stage construction?

Aspen Hospitality’s detailed construction management plan addresses the important construction planning issues such as construction staging, haul routes, and employee parking. The plan has been designed to minimize the construction impact on our neighbors and the community. This plan is reflective of the input provided by stakeholders throughout the community. There will be a dedicated construction contact person available to discuss all construction-related concerns, though please feel free to reach out at any time.
